Training Across Distance
Though our Training Across Distances have been a great tool to keep skill-building and exchanges going throughout the year, we will unfortunately be cancelling the Stepping Up! Facilitating Differences workshop, that was to be held by conference call on Tuesday May 11th. But the good news is that we will be back!
Stay tuned for news of our next series of TAD sessions to be held from November 2010 to June 2011.
Please feel free to contact us if you were seeking particular information or have specific questions that you wanted to address during the Stepping Up workshop, and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can. Thank you for your understanding
What is it?
The Amplify Training Across Distance workshops are designed to keep the discussions going about some of the topics from Amplify’s face-to-face training, to wherever you're located across Canada. Training across distance also provides training opportunities for network members unable to attend Amplify. If you couldn’t make it to the 2009 training, here’s a chance to catch up and forge ahead.
Who is it for?
Are you looking to create connections with other girls’ program organizers and facilitators? Would you like to discuss and explore your work with girls and young women?
Are you interested in keeping the momentum going from the Amplify training and want to maintain your relationships and share the progress you’re making throughout the year?
Or were you unable to attend Amplify and wish you didn’t have to wait until next fall to take part and start networking with like-minded organizations across the country?
How does it work?
The sessions take place once a month via facilitated conference calls. The program is relevant to people who are organizing and/or facilitating girl-specific programming, calls are open to anyone who already runs a girls’ program or who is interested in starting one.
Sign-up for the training sessions on the Girls Action website (click on the Amplify link under the Learning Center heading). Follow-up podcasts, key learnings and resources will also be posted in this section of the Girls Action website.
